Cherry-blossom spots near Ikaho (3)
This year again we are introducing cherry-blossom spots near Ikaho, in several notes. See also (1) and (2).
1. Iwai Shinsui Park, Higashiagatsuma Town
The park sits along the Agatsuma River, in the next town over from Shibukawa. The surroundings are quiet farmland. Along the river there is a 1 km cherry avenue; beside it, fields planted with about 300,000 trumpet daffodils.
- Best viewing: typically early April
- Address: Iwai, Higashiagatsuma Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma
- Varieties: Somei-yoshino (and trumpet daffodils)
2. The Funao Falls entrance
Funao Falls is a well-known waterfall that gathers spring water from the Haruna range and falls from a height of 60 meters. Somei-yoshino are planted along the side path. It is a good place for hanami and hiking. The photos were taken a little way in from the entrance.

- Variety: Somei-yoshino
