Before You Book

Check-in and Check-out
What time can I check in?
Check-in begins at 15:00.
Please note that we are unable to offer check-in before 15:00.
For guests with dinner included in their plan, the final check-in time is 19:00. Dinner cannot be served after 19:00, so please arrive on time.
The latest check-in time is 23:00. Guests with dinner included in their plan must check in by 19:00. If you plan to arrive after 19:00, please contact us in advance.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is by 10:00.
For guests staying in a Private Onsen Room, check-out is by 11:00. Please check the details of your reservation.
We are unable to offer late check-out.
What is the latest time I can check in?
The latest check-in time is 23:00.
For guests with dinner included in their plan, the final check-in time is 19:00. Dinner cannot be served after 19:00.
If you plan to arrive after 19:00, please contact us in advance.
Can I extend my check-out time or add extra nights?
We are unable to offer late check-out or extend your stay beyond the dates originally booked.
Can I check in early?
Even if you arrive before check-in time, we are unable to show you to your room early.
You are welcome to wait in the lobby until check-in begins.
Can I check out early or shorten my stay?
We are unable to adjust the accommodation charge for early check-out.
If you shorten your stay, the unused nights will be treated as a cancellation and the applicable cancellation fee will apply.
Do you offer express check-out or flexible check-out?
We do not offer express check-out.
Do I need to bring anything for check-in?
Depending on your accommodation plan, you may be asked to present identification at check-in, such as a driver’s license or health insurance card.
Guests arriving from overseas and foreign nationals are asked to bring their passport or residence card. At check-in, we will record information such as your passport number and dates of entry and departure on the guest registration card.
In some cases, we may take a copy of your identification. Thank you for your understanding.
Guest Rooms
Do guest rooms have toilets? Where are the shared toilets?
All guest rooms are equipped with toilets with warm-water bidet functions.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Guests may set the temperature to their preference.
What kind of beds are in the rooms?
Bed sizes vary depending on the room type.

What amenities and facilities are available in the rooms?
Guest rooms include a TV, telephone, complimentary Wi-Fi, electric kettle, tea set, refrigerator, hair dryer, individually controlled air conditioning, and a Washlet-style bidet toilet.
Is there a hair dryer in the room?
Yes. Hair dryers are provided in all guest rooms.
If I stay multiple nights, will towels, sheets, and amenities be replaced daily?
Sheets and room amenities can be replaced upon request.
We will ask for your preference at check-in.
Do you have connecting rooms?
No. We do not have connecting rooms.
Is there a safe in the room?
Yes. Each guest room has a safe. Please use it to store your valuables.
Is there an air purifier in the room?
Yes. Air purifiers are available in all guest rooms.
Rates and Payment
How do I pay for my stay?
Accommodation charges may be paid in advance when making your reservation, or on site at check-out.
We do not accept payment by bank transfer after your stay.
At the front desk, we accept cash, major credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments.
Can I use a credit card? Is advance card payment available?
Credit cards are accepted. Please note, however, that massage services must be paid for in cash.
The following cards are accepted on site: Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, UC, DC, NICOS, OMC, UFJ Card, Mastercard, Saison, AEON, JACCS, UnionPay, and debit cards.
Cards accepted for online payment may differ from those accepted on site.
Is a deposit required?
No deposit is required.
Accommodation charges are paid at check-out by cash, credit card, electronic money, or QR code payment.
Are taxes and service charges included in the room rate?
Consumption tax and service charges are included in the accommodation fee.
A separate hot spring tax of ¥150 per person per night applies.
Breakfast and Dining
What should I know about dinner?
Dinner is served in the Main Dining Room on the 2nd floor, or at Hifumian or Irohatei on the 6th floor.
Dinner start times are between 18:00 and 19:00.
Your dining time will be confirmed at check-in.
What should I know about breakfast?
Breakfast is served in the Main Dining Room on the 2nd floor, or at Hifumian or Irohatei on the 6th floor.
We serve a wholesome Japanese-style set breakfast.
Breakfast start times are between 07:30 and 08:30.
Your dining time will be confirmed at check-in.
Do you offer room service or in-room dining?
We do not serve meals in guest rooms.
Please enjoy your meals in the dining room.
Can you accommodate food allergies or remove ingredients I do not like?
We will do our best to accommodate food allergies.
If you tell us at least three days before arrival of a named allergy — such as crustacean (shellfish), eggs, or soba (buckwheat) — we may be able to omit that ingredient where it is safe to do so. We cannot remove dashi or wheat from the kitchen.

What drinks are available? Are drinks included with meals?
Drinks are not included in the meal price.

Are there recommended restaurants nearby?
There are restaurants and dining spots within a short walk of the inn.
We can introduce local favorites, including casual izakaya-style restaurants and places where you can enjoy Gunma specialties. A stroll through town and the Ikaho Stone Steps is also a good start.

Meals are available to staying guests with advance reservations.

Do you have private dining rooms? Is there a room charge?
Private dining rooms are available at Irohatei and Hifumian on the 6th floor.

What are the meal venues, times, prices, and reservation requirements?
Breakfast start times: 07:30–08:30.
Dinner start times: 18:00–19:00.
Your dining time will be confirmed at check-in.
As a general guide, please allow up to two hours for dinner and up to 50 minutes for breakfast.
Can you accommodate vegetarian guests?
We are very sorry, but we are unable to provide special meals for vegetarian or vegan guests.

How can I check availability or make a reservation?

Can I stay by myself?
Yes. Solo guests are welcome.
We offer plans for guests staying alone. Please check the plan details.
What accommodation plans are available?

Do you offer day-use rooms or day-trip plans?
We do not offer day-use guest rooms or daytime plans with lunch.
How can I check my reservation status or booking details?

How can I change, cancel, or request a refund after booking?
If you booked through our official website, please use the reservation inquiry / cancellation button on the booking site, or complete the procedure here: view or cancel your booking.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
- Up to 4 days before your stay: no cancellation fee
- From 3 days before your stay: 20% of the accommodation fee
- From 2 days before your stay: 20% of the accommodation fee
- The day before your stay: 30% of the accommodation fee
- On the day of your stay: 80% of the accommodation fee
- No-show without notice: 100% of the accommodation fee
Separate cancellation policies may apply depending on the plan or date.
Access
Do you offer a shuttle bus?
We do not operate a shuttle bus.
For guests arriving by highway bus, we can pick you up from Ikaho Ishidangai Bus Stop, at the foot of the Ikaho Stone Steps.

How do I get to the inn?
By train and bus: the nearest station is Shibukawa Station on the JR Joetsu Line. From Shibukawa Station, take a bus bound for Ikaho Onsen and get off at the last stop, Ikaho Onsen. The ride takes about 25 minutes.
By car: if you use the Kan-etsu Expressway, the nearest interchange is Shibukawa-Ikaho IC. The inn is about 12 km from the interchange.

How can I get there by bus?
From Shibukawa Station, take a local bus bound for Ikaho Onsen and get off at the last stop, Ikaho Onsen.
The inn is about a one-minute walk from the bus stop.

How do I get to the inn from the airport?
We do not offer a free shuttle from the airport.

How do I get there from the nearest station?
The nearest station is Shibukawa Station on the JR Joetsu Line.
From Shibukawa Station, take a bus bound for Ikaho Onsen and get off at the last stop, Ikaho Onsen. The ride takes about 25 minutes.

Luggage
Can you store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Before check-in, we can store your luggage from 11:00 on the day of arrival.
After check-out, we can store your luggage until about 13:00 on the day of departure.
How should I store valuables?
Each guest room has a safe. Please use it to store your valuables.
Services
Do you offer colored yukata rentals?
Colored yukata rentals are available for guests who book through our official website.
Can I borrow a phone charger or mobile battery?
Phone chargers are available to borrow.
Quantities are limited, so please ask at the front desk if you would like to use one.
Do you have bicycles available to borrow?
No. We do not offer bicycle rentals.
Can you arrange a taxi for me?
Yes. We can arrange taxis.
Please ask at the front desk as early as you can.
Can I exchange foreign currency?
We do not accept payment in foreign currencies and do not offer currency exchange.
Can I borrow a computer?
No. We do not offer computer rentals.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn.
Facilities and Amenities
Do you have a private open-air bath?
Yes. Private Open-air Bath Nagomi is available.
For staying guests: ¥3,300 per 45-minute session. Advance reservations are required.
Ideal for couples, families, and guests who prefer to enjoy the onsen in complete privacy.

Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn.
Is there a smoking area?
Designated smoking areas are beside the 3rd-floor entrance and on the 8th floor.
Please use these areas when smoking.
What public baths and open-air baths are available?
The inn has rooftop open-air baths, a private open-air bath, and large public baths (indoor baths).
Rooftop garden open-air bath Roman: 15:00–01:00 (next day) for men, and 05:00–10:00 the next morning for women.
Rooftop open-air bath Honoka: 15:00–01:00 (next day) for women, and 05:00–10:00 the next morning for men.
Large public baths: men’s and women’s sides switch at 05:00. See Rakurakuyu.

Do you have wheelchair-accessible rooms?
We have four wheelchair-accessible guest rooms: three Japanese-Western rooms and one Western-style room. These rooms are arranged for wheelchair use, and wheelchairs are also available to borrow. Guest-room toilets are Western-style and fitted with handrails. Handrails are also installed in the large public baths, where assisted bathing is available.
Can I use the large public bath if I have tattoos?
Guests with tattoos, regardless of size or location, are not permitted to use the large public baths.
Private Open-air Bath Nagomi is available as an alternative, and guests with tattoos are welcome to use it.
Where is the front desk, and what are its opening hours?
The front desk is on the 3rd floor.
Hours: 08:00–23:00.
Is coffee or tea available?
Tea sets are provided in guest rooms.
Private Onsen Rooms are also equipped with coffee machines.
Are there lockers in the large public baths?
Valuables lockers are available in the large public baths.
For greater peace of mind, we recommend using the safe in your guest room.
What facilities and services are available in the inn?

Nearby Information
Is there a convenience store or supermarket nearby?
There is a convenience store about ten minutes on foot from the inn.
What sightseeing spots are nearby?
Nearby things to do are listed on Sightseeing.
When is the best time to see autumn leaves?
The autumn leaves around the inn are usually at their best from late October to mid-November.
Popular autumn-foliage spots include Kajika Bridge and the Ikaho area.
When is the best time to see cherry blossoms?
Cherry blossoms around Ikaho are usually at their best from mid-March to early April.
A popular cherry-blossom spot is Fo Guang Shan Housui Temple. See Sightseeing for more of the town.
Other
Can I leave my room wearing a yukata or indoor slippers?
Yes. You may go out wearing a yukata.
Setta sandals are also available at the entrance. Please feel free to use them.
Do you have staff who speak foreign languages?
Our primary language is Japanese, but our front desk staff can assist with basic English.
