Shibukawa Cherry Blossom Festival and night light-up
Shibukawa City Comprehensive Park has about 3,000 cherry trees, and they bloom beautifully each year. The park sits at an elevation of 600 meters. With several varieties, you can enjoy the cherries over a long season.
A cherry blossom festival is held so more people can see them — a good time for hanami and photos.

- When: Saturday 18 April 2026. Cancelled if the weather is bad.
- Where: Jiyu Hiroba (the open plaza) inside Shibukawa City Comprehensive Park

Night cherry light-up
A linked event, the night cherry light-up, will be held as below. Times may change with the bloom.
- Place: Brick Street (Renga-dori) and Jiyu Hiroba, inside the park
- Period: Saturday 4 April through Wednesday 6 May 2026
- Hours: each day 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (planned)
