Tachibana Furusato Festival and lake fireworks
The 34th Tachibana Furusato Festival and lake fireworks will be held on Sunday 27 September 2026. Third-year students from Kitatachibana Junior High School will walk in an ancient procession, dressed as figures from the local Tachibanayama legend of Ototachibana-hime and Yamato Takeru.
The grounds also have performances and other events. The day ends with fireworks over the water.

Sunday 27 September is also the day of the 14th Haruna Lake Marathon. If you are traveling around Shibukawa that afternoon, please allow extra time.
