IKALIN e-bike rental in Ikaho Onsen
Yesterday we introduced Chari-Chare 2026 “Akagi Shizen-en, Climb to the Forest,” organized by Shibukawa City. Our okami also recently mentioned IKALIN, an e-bike rental service operated by the Shibukawa Ikaho Onsen Tourism Association. Here is a closer look at how it works.
The association lends electric-assist bicycles called IKALIN, so you can tour Ikaho Onsen and the area around it at an easy pace.
The electric assist makes it easier to explore Ikaho’s many hills and surrounding areas at a relaxed pace.
- Hours: 10:00–17:00
- Fees (insurance and tax included): up to 1 hour ¥1,000; up to 3 hours ¥2,000; one day ¥3,000; one night / two days ¥5,000
- Pickup and return: Shibukawa Ikaho Onsen Tourism Association, 541-4 Ikaho, Ikaho-machi, Shibukawa
- Phone: +81 279-72-3151
Rental may be stopped in bad weather (including rain), in snow, or when roads are icy or snow-covered. Use is limited to high-school age and older, and to a height of 140 cm or more for the bikes.
Details are on the IKALIN page of the Shibukawa Ikaho Onsen Tourism Association.
An IKALIN e-bike is an enjoyable way to explore the fresh-green streets of Ikaho Onsen and the surrounding area. For the inn itself, see Access.
