This is a bloom update from the Haruna Tourism Association.

On the way from Ikaho to Lake Haruna, when the yama-tsutsuji (mountain azaleas) at Nagamine Park are past peak, the yama-tsutsuji around the lake come into their own.

After that, renge-tsutsuji blooms, and then bright yellow yusuge (daylilies) begin to open along the shore.

Lake Haruna is about 25 minutes by car from Ikaho. After Ikaho, the lake is well worth the drive.
