For guests coming to Ikaho in winter
Ikaho is located at a higher elevation, and winter conditions can include snow and icy roads. In winter the Stone Steps, the ropeway, and the rooftop baths have a different character — snow on the town, and steam in the open air.
If traveling by car in winter, please allow extra travel time and check road conditions before departure. Our staff will assist with parking when you arrive at the main entrance. Parking near the entrance is reserved primarily for guests with limited mobility and those departing early in the morning.
